Good Eats in the Garbage Trick
Hide a bunch of potatoes chips or any other kind of food in a bag in the garbage and then root around and eat in it.
Food Stealers - April Fools Prank

Loud Speakers
Turn the volume on the speakers really loud on their computer.
Change your Clothes
Tell everyone but your target to bring a couple of changes of clothes to work. Then walk by your target with a different set of clothes on every time.
Change the Location
If you have a coworker that is extremely picky about the placement of their work materials, adjust them ever so slightly every day. It may be work tools, pens, supplies, computer monitor anything else in their work area.
Live Creature in the Filing Cabinet
Put any kind of live creature in the filing cabinet. Anything bigger than a dog may be a bit extreme for the occasion. Though secretly I have always wanted to place a goat in somebody's office.
Rumors
Ask the target some ridiculous rumor, "Like is it true you are getting fired?" Other questions could be that they are dating somebody, working for the competition, moonlighting, closet knitter or any other ridiculous rumor. Really there is no limit to the possibilities. Just make sure that you get as many people involved with this one. After they are asked about it enough times they will certainly lose their mind.
Hostage Situation
Take anything you like from the target and make a ransom note for them to get it back. Works
especially well if it is something is annoying or ugly and the
target knows it.
Switching the Lunch
Unattended lunches are excellent for pranking. Switch the
food or the drink. Change the sandwich meat in someone's lunch. Try adding a candy bar (Hey pranking doesn't always have to be evil).
Tape Over the Calculator
Tape over the display and it will make the numbers fuzzy.
The Award
If anybody wins an award send out a fake memo that the award has been discontinued.
Relabel the DVD’s

No Smoking
If you work in a building that doesn't allow smoking put an
ashtray with a few butts in it on the targets desk after work one day or before other peopel get there. (Doesn't work unless the janitorial staff is in on it).
Twack the Target
Shoot rubber bands or use a pea shooter to hit people in the back and then look away quickly.
Making Sweaters
Put some yarn and knitting needles in the targets desk. Ask the boss to call them into the office and explain the no knitting at work policy.
Fake Strike at the Office Prank
One of our Fun Researchers had this trick played on him. He came to work and everybody had a picket sign and was officially on strike. He was told that they had walked out and they were on strike. He bought it hook, line and sinker.
The, "I Hear Music in this Office" Prank
Put a small radio in a ceiling panel close to the target’s desk. Just have it on loud enough so only they can hear it. When asked deny you hear anything.
Answer the Office Phone Prank
Tape down the phone button on the phone so when the phone starts ringing and they pick it up it will keep ringing.
You are Famous at the Office Prank
Get a whole bunch of people to email target about hearing them on the radio. Allude to something about a secret microphone and that you would be really upset too if they had done that to you. Make sure at least a half a dozen people email them with the same take on the story. Include comments like, "Does your family know about this?" or "I support you no matter what people say."
Talking Office Machine Trick
Use Mr. Microphone to make any office appliance talk. Make sure you pass out an email or memo around the office about the new equipment. Put instructions on the equipment to speak very loudly into the on button so that it can learn to recognize your voice. If machine does not respond try speaking a little louder.
Give Yourself Recognition Prank
Page yourself over the office intercom and tell yourself to take the day off or compliment yourself on a project, do not disguise your voice.
The Newsletter Prank
Anytime you are in charge of any kind of newsletter or broadcast email system you are in the driver's seat to play a prank. Any organization that is short on money can easily fool people into an outrageous fund raising activity or ridiculous cutback. You may want to tell them they are only allowed one toilet flush per day or some other ridiculous restriction.
I need this Project Right Now!
Place a note on your targets desk that says something like, "I need those research notes for The SLP project immediately! The client will be here in 45 minutes and I need to get it done
immediately or we are both completely screwed!" Don’t sign it
Everything is Stuck to my Desk
Tape or glue the items on your targets desk, to the desk.
The Promo Video Prank
If you are stuck at a trade show this one is good fun. Take your promotional video and put it in the video in your
competitors video machine.
The Extra Washer Prank
Place a small washer and nut on top of a door hinge in a high traffic zone in a public building. Watch how different people react when they think they've broken the door.
The Extra Screw Prank
If someone has taken something apart-drop in an extra screw or two.
Auto Spell Prank
Go to Microsoft word/ go to tools/ go to auto correct/ go to replace with/ change some popular words to “you smell” or the bosses name with "the funny guy".
Gridlock Prank
When they've left their desk, make a screen capture (print screen) of the person's desktop (preferably with a program open). Go into Windows Paint program and paste. Save as a bmp. Load the picture as the person's background. Sit back and watch them double clicking and rebooting fruitlessly. (Note: you can also create a bmp of an entire black screen and do the same. The mouse moves, but there's nothing to click on if you hide the icons!)
Crazy Appointment Prank
If target leaves their desk while they are still logged in to their computer, type up some interesting appointments in their calendar. Best if you set them a few months from now.
Crazy Email Prank
If the target is logged into their computer and they are away from their desk, type up some emails from the target that make absolutely no sense at all. My web designer would leave his desk and his wife would step in and write some extremely confusing emails to me.
Maintenance Emails
For IT staff you might want to say that you have received a virus that causes your computer to crash with any words that start with the letter G. The letter G is ok but using G in a word may crash the entire system. Ensure that you use no G words in your memo.
Phone Problems
Send out an email to all the staff that says the phone company is having some troubles and that they will be testing the lines. The phone company said to keep your feet off of the floor when talking on the phone to avoid electric shock.
Official Letter Head Prank
This one works well when your target has been fooling around at work. Use company letterhead describing all the actions in detail and that the security cameras captured it all on Video. Do not threaten any action - Just tell them that management knows about it and would like to make an appointment to discuss.
Policy Changes
This trick is easy to pull off if your company loves policies or rules. This prank works best if you are the leader of the company or a department. Try to pick categories that are currently causing problems. Then make some kind of ridiculous rule change.
Example 1
Employees will now receive 29.5 minutes for lunch instead of the regular 30. This cost saving measure will allow the company to save enough money to get new pens for all the staff next year. Please note that this new policy will be monitored with the new video surveillance that has been installed in the lunch room.
Example 2
Due to the number of personal calls being made at work we are now allowing friends to visit you while you are working between 9:57 AM and 10:01 AM. (It is not supposed to make sense).
Example 3
Since their have been so many accusations of sexual harassment it is now our policy not to make eye contact while at work. Employees should look down and to the left while speaking to each other. If you need to look up at a computer screen or a report please ensure to cover your eyes to avoid any accidental eye contact.
New Employee Pranks
New Employees can be easy targets because they are in the world of believing just about anything you say. I remember working at a restaurant and the Chef was yelling at the new guy to run downstairs and get a loaf of brown toast. Each time he returned with a loaf of bread he was told to go and find the brown toast. You can make up any gadget or crazy protocol for them to follow.
Examples: Dehydrated Water, Bucket of compressed air or steam, Lightning bolts, a left handed wrench, hammer, razor, snow tires for the shopping carts or whatever. Using a sense of urgency will force the rookie to act without thinking through the request.
Quirky Electronics
This also works for quirky mechanical problems with the
photocopier or any other electrical device. Tell them they have to tap it three times and then rub the control panel otherwise it won't work or it will start making blank copies after a couple of tries. Best if you put a memo on the machine itself.
That Guy is Crazy Prank
Tell a new staff member some hideous story about another
employee. Tell them to watch out for that person because he has a really bad temper (especially if they are kind and gentle). Or tell them not to make eye contact with them because they may snap-or any other BS you want to pull off. It works best when other employees are coming up to the target and saying things like, "Did they warn you about that employee?" If they say no then wish them good luck.
If you get Pranked by a Subordinate
Pretend to be a bad sport and fire them and then say, “Aah, I am just #*#@ing with ya!”
No service on the Cell Phone
Get a hold of someone's cell phone and change the greeting
banner to say "NO SERVICE". Many cell phones have greeting banners on them that you can personalize to say whatever
you want them to and it stays on there when you're not using your phone.
Decafe Coffee
Change the coffee in the office coffee maker to decafe. Wait a
couple of weeks (or until you people have moved past their
caffeine addiction) and switch to espresso.
Switch the Keys
Simply pop out the 'm' and 'n' key on someone's keyboard and reverse the two. Any flat tool will work. Just pry it with little pressure and they will easily come right off.
