Backyard Activities when Bored

Have a bonfire and roast marshmallows or popcorn or some meat!

Borrow an ugly ornament from your neighbor and display it in the open in your front yard

Watch a classic movie outside with friends

Do some deck lounging

Bang Bang
Get Some Firecrackers - Remember Safety First and make sure it is legal

Fondue
Have a Chocolate Fondue with pieces of fresh fruit cut into tasty bite sized pieces

Have a Food Fight
The easiest way to do this is to set up tarps to collect the debris. If you do have a food fight make sure you clean it ALL up or there are going to be some angry parental units

Water Balloon Fight
The key to a good water balloon fight is to have the most water balloons. It takes a while but when you have hundreds of water balloons you will win. Use empty garbage cans to store them as well have secret stashes just in case you need extra fire power.

Water Gun Fight
The good water guns are expensive but if you watch garage sales you can usually find them for a buck or two. The more guns oyu have the more fun it is.

Make a Movie about your boredom

Relax Day
Spend the Entire Day by Yourself relaxing- unplug the phone, have a bath, read a book - whatever you want to do. Make sure you delete potential irritants. Get some hammock time.

Olympics
You may not be an Olympian but that doesn't mean that you can't have your own Olympics. Set up a series of events or obstacles courses testing endurance, physical ability and skills. It doesn't have to be about athletics. You could have contest to see how many pickles you can stack or how many shirts or jackets you can wear. How fast can you crawl across the yard? Take it the extra step and arrange some medals for the awards ceremony.

Tomato Toss
Get some rotten tomatoes and make a target. If it is a human target - put some swim googles on so that their eyes don't sting.

Play Twister
Find out who is the most flexible person that you would like to intertwine with

New Music
Listen to some popular music from a totally foreign country

Have a photo slide show for your friends about your life

Nail Party
Paint your Fingernails or Toenails with Friends

Hilarious Group Pictures
Get your friends together to express the same emotion in a picture. Anger, confusion, glee, uneasiness, seduction etc..

Pie Someone with a cream pie

Pull off a practical joke

Have a watermelon seed spitting contest

Play Spin the Bottle - make sure you play with people you want to smooch with

Have you ever tired walking on stilts?

Build a tree house, a fort or a secret hideaway in the woods

Tricycle Races - Kids or adults can have fun this one. Make sure everybody wears a helmet.

Camp out in the backyard overnight

Play Hackeysack or sometimes called footbag

Do headstands or try to walk across the yard on your hands.
