Welcome to the "Fun Things to Do When Your Bored" Activities List. These lists are organized into eight categories and then further divided after that. The purpose of this list is to inspire you to come up with your action plan to fight boredom and go have more fun. DISCLAIMER: All these activities are dangerous and shouldn’t be attempted at all and are not recommended, ever. These are for entertainment purposes only.
Winter Family Fun Things to Do

This list is specifically for families and adult/kid activities. There are plenty that cost next to nothing and some that cost a few bucks. To really maximize your fun - try to do multiple fun activities in a single setting. There are no rules if your activity is boring or not achieving your desires for fun move on and try a new activity. Try to pick activities that all your participants can enjoy.
Go for a Walk especially if it has just snowed or is snowing right now
Full Moon - go for a hike or a cross country ski in the moonlight. It really is a unique experience
Walk the Dog - or somebodies dog
Either play some Ice Hockey or go watch a hockey game
Go for a Polar Bear Swim - we are not really sure why anybody would want to do this. The next suggestion is way more civilized.
Relax in a Hot Tub bonus points if it is snowing on your head while you are in there
Go to a Skating Rink and try some ice skating.
Ice Skate on a Lake - make sure it is a totally recommended skating area that is safe to skate on. Falling into a lake in the middle of winter is very low on the fun list.
Build an Igloo - It is not as hard as you think - well maybe it is - guess you will never know until you try.
Build Snow Animals or Statues.
Make Snow Angels
Build a Snowman or Snowwoman. Try to build an entire snowman rock band. Build a giant snowman that will get you on TV.
Go Snow Blading - you know those mini little skis that take very little practice to go and have fun.
Build a Snow Fort - Make sure you have a flag to fly for it once you are done.
Build Snow Furniture - Try to build a snow living room.
Snow Painting - Paint the snow with non toxic water colors.
Go Cross Country skiing
Make a message in the snow with your feet in a wide open space
Go Downhill Skiing at your closest ski area
Go for a Sleigh Ride - Sleigh rides aren't everywhere but there must be one within driving distance. Bundle up because the wind and sitting still for a long time can slow the blood flow.
Go Tobaggoning - hours and hours of fun and exercise. Always remember - safety first! There is no shame in wearing a helmet. The frozen ground doesn't "give" very much
Go Snow Tubing - Tubing is also hours of entertainment but they are impossible to steer. So pick a safe route down the hill.
Have a big bonfire and hot chocolate
Go Snowshoeing
Warm Up - Go somewhere warm for a vacation, like Hawaii. Here are some fun vacation ideas...
Do a Christmas Movie Marathon or a comedy movie marathon
Do a Christmas Light Tour
Go to the Mountains and play
Barbecue - Obviously this is the winter section. The bigger the snowstorm the better the BBQ.
Borrow an Ugly Christmas Ornament from your Neighbor and see how long it takes for them to notice.
Help Somebody shovel their walks or driveway
